About the project
The project initiated and supported by ERSTE Stiftung with the support of b.creative, CREAPOLIS is a European exchange and capacity-building programme supporting Ukrainian professionals operating at the crossroads of civic engagement, local community development, and cultural innovation. 

In a time of urgent reconstruction and societal transformation, the programme provides space for shared learning, peer exchange, and international collaboration.

The second edition of Creapolis will take place in Matera, a UNESCO World Heritage city that has transformed cultural heritage into a driver of local innovation. Hosted by Consorzio Materahub—a leading organisation in fostering creative entrepreneurship and cross-sector collaboration—this edition will offer participants direct access to methodologies that power creative hubs, public-private cooperation, and community-led development.

With a focus on post-war recovery and regional revitalization, participants will explore how innovative strategies from Southern Italy can be adapted to the Ukrainian context.
