As the FULCRUM project reaches its final phase, cultural professionals from across Europe are invited to join its closing conference, The FULCRUM Moment. The gathering will mark the culmination of three years of collaborative work while acting as a catalyst for future developments in community-led cultural practice. The event brings together practitioners, researchers and policy-makers to reflect on the project’s outcomes and explore how its methodologies can inspire new initiatives across the socio-cultural field.

About FULCRUM
FULCRUM is a three-year Erasmus+ project (2023–2026) focused on strengthening the skills and capacities of socio-cultural workers and their organisations. Developed by a network of national socio-cultural centre associations, the project responds to the sector’s urgent need to rebuild community connections, adapt to post-pandemic realities, and transition toward more sustainable organisational models. Through co-created training programmes on community-building and environmental sustainability, and through its Europe-wide Visions for the Future brainstorming cycle, FULCRUM supports socio-cultural centres in becoming more resilient, inclusive and future-oriented.

Why attend?
The conference will showcase the key insights generated through FULCRUM’s training programmes on community building and environmental sustainability, as well as the project’s Visions for the Future cycle. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in sector-wide dialogue, examine lessons learned, and consider practical ways to extend the project’s impact beyond its initial network. The event also offers valuable opportunities for exchange between cultural workers, educators, researchers and policy stakeholders.

Who can attend?
The event is open to all cultural professionals interested in community-centred cultural work, including staff and volunteers of cultural centres, community spaces and socio-cultural organisations. Policy-makers, funders and researchers are equally encouraged to join. Participation is not limited to members of FULCRUM partner networks; the conference aims to reach a broader audience committed to strengthening sustainable and inclusive cultural practices.

An extended programme for the project’s trainees will include study visits to socio-cultural centres in Brussels on 25 and 27 March.

The event is free of charge.
