About the residency
Supported by the Palestinian Residency Patrons Circle, Gasworks offers an eleven-week fully funded residency in London for emerging and mid-career Palestinian artists based anywhere in the world.
The residency programme supports artistic research, experimentation, and professional exchange, providing residents with curatorial, administrative, and pastoral guidance while encouraging self-directed practice.
The selected artist will receive:
– A private studio at Gasworks with 24-hour access
– Single-room accommodation in Gasworks’ Residency House
– Economy return flights, visa support, and transfers
– Weekly living stipend (£175) and materials budget (£800)
– Prepaid London travel card (zones 1–2)
– Studio visits with curators, artists, and educators
– Participation in an Open Studio presentation on 12 September 2026
– A residency profile and short video feature on Gasworks’ website
Eligibility:
– Open to emerging and mid-career contemporary visual artists based in Palestine or of Palestinian origin living abroad
– Applicants must have a moderate level of spoken English
– Residency is contingent upon visa approval
