About Ramallah Design Week 2026
Ramallah Design Week is a new platform for designers to reimagine Palestinian identity through contemporary design. From fashion to product design, architecture to illustration, the event calls for fresh interpretations of heritage that honour traditional forms while pushing creative boundaries. Selected works will feature in exhibitions, pop-ups, workshops, and talks across Ramallah and beyond.
This initiative is part of the MISHKAL "Perform, Produce, Design" project, funded by the European Union and managed by the Goethe-Institut and the British Council in Palestine.
About the Theme
Palestine boasts a rich and vibrant history, brimming with intricate crafts, artistic expressions, and a profound cultural heritage. The Palestine/Ramallah Design Week 2026 seeks projects that embody this fusion, creating fresh narratives around heritage while embracing contemporary design principles.
This is a unique opportunity to reflect on our past, reinterpret our traditions, and transform them into innovative works that resonate with the future. Whether through fashion, product design, architecture, jewellery, graphic design, illustration, or any other medium, we invite you to explore new ways to express Palestinian identity with a modern touch.
