British Council's Creative Economy Development Grants

The British Council, in collaboration with Lanka.pro collective, is launching a grant programme to support Ukraine’s creative economy ecosystem. The focus for 2024/2025 is on creative hubs and professional associations, with grants of up to £7,000 available for development initiatives.

About the Programme

This grant programme aims to enhance the sustainability and visibility of Ukraine’s creative economy by empowering key intermediary organisations, including creative hubs and professional associations. These organisations are vital in structuring and supporting the creative ecosystem, enabling collaboration and innovation.

Grants will support activities such as:

- Conducting research and stakeholder mapping
- Testing pilot services for target audiences
- Enhancing digital presence through marketing and promotion
- Strengthening organisational safety, security, and climate sustainability (up to 20% of the grant value)
- Facilitating mobility within Ukraine and internationally for knowledge exchange
- International mobility opportunities include internships, sectoral events, and focused knowledge exchanges in the UK or EU countries.

Budget Guidelines

Eligible expenses include:

- Expert fees, marketing costs, and translation services
- Accessibility improvements (up to £1,000)
- Technical equipment for operational needs during power shortages
- Climate sustainability measures (up to 20% of the budget value)

Submit your application through the application form by January 12, 2025, 23:59 Kyiv time. Supporting documents, including a project budget and organisation registration documents, must be uploaded via the form.
