About Beyond Borders Pitching Lab 2025
Held as part of the Beyond Borders International Documentary Festival in Kastellorizo, Greece (August 24–31, 2025), the Pitching Lab is a pioneering initiative offering early-career filmmakers a gateway to the international documentary industry. With strategic support from PPC Group, the leading energy provider in Southeast Europe, the Lab promotes creative dialogue, innovation, and cultural storytelling with a global reach.
Who Should Apply
- Film students, new directors, visual artists
- Creators with documentary concepts focused on history, multiculturalism, and societal impact
- Applicants from Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, North Africa, Latin America, and beyond
- English proficiency required
What to Expect
- Participation is free of charge
- The event will be held online via Zoom for global accessibility
- 10–12 project ideas will be selected and pitched live on August 27 & 28, 2025
- Livestreamed on the Festival’s YouTube channel
- Personalized feedback from producers, directors, distributors, editors, and critics
- One project will receive a mentorship program with a top production company in Greece
