The proposed budget breakdown for Creative Europe in 2025 is as follows:

€108 million for the Culture strand
€189.7 million for the Media strand
€29.3 million for the Cross-sectoral strand
€25.2 million for support expenditures

This increase is part of the Commission's draft 2025 budget, which totals €199.7 billion in commitments and €152.7 billion in payments. The budget reflects the priorities in the recently revised Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), including support for Ukraine, addressing migration challenges, and boosting investment in critical technologies.

The financial programming for the final two years of the current Creative Europe programme (2026-2027) suggests a lower estimated budget of around €250 million per year, down from previous periods

The draft 2025 EU budget proposal must now be approved by the Council of the European Union, representing member state governments and the European Parliament. The Council is expected to adopt its position by October 1st, after which the Parliament will have 42 days to respond.
