This March our monthly list of open calls brings a strong variety of funding schemes, residencies, and collaboration grants across Europe. We wanted to highlight opportunities in cultural heritage protection, contemporary arts, media innovation, crafts, social inclusion, and film co-production. Whether you are an artist, cultural professional, organisation, or consortium, these calls offer meaningful support for cross-border exchange, research, and production. Make sure to check the full list because some of the deadlines are approaching soon and you will not want to miss them!



1. ICCROM | First Aid and Resilience for Cultural Heritage– READY Track 2

Sector: Cultural Heritage, Architecture, Urban Planning, Disaster Risk Management
Deadline: March 31, 2026


ICCROM invites applications for READY Track 2, a hybrid capacity development programme under its First Aid and Resilience for Cultural Heritage (FAR) initiative. The course focuses on safeguarding heritage cities, sites, buildings, and associated living traditions in the face of disasters, extreme weather events, and complex emergencies.

Support provided:

- Fully funded participation (no course fee)
- Travel and accommodation for the in-person training component covered

Who can apply:

- Conservation architects and engineers
- Heritage site managers and archaeologists
- Urban planners and landscape professionals
- Community leaders and cultural bearers
- Civil protection, disaster risk management, climate, humanitarian, and fire risk professionals
- Military and emergency responders involved in heritage protection

2. Onassis Foundation | Onassis AiR Open Call 2026/27

Sector: Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Film, Curatorial Practice, Applied Arts, Art & Technology
Deadline: March 3, 2026 (12:00 noon UTC+2)


Onassis Foundation announces the 2026/27 Open Call for Onassis AiR, offering 30 residency opportunities for artists and cultural practitioners across disciplines. The programme supports visual arts, theatre, dance, sound, filmmaking, writing, curatorial and hybrid practices, with an emphasis on experimentation and interdisciplinary exchange.

This edition introduces a new research opportunity in collaboration with the Cavafy Archive, while continuing its focus on crafts and material-based practices. Through technical residencies and expanded financial support, the programme strengthens production capacity and responds to the rising precarity faced by art professionals.

Support provided:

- Artist fee of €3,500
- Research budget of €1,500 (Extended Research, Cavafy Archive, Theater & Dance Residencies)
- Production budget up to €3,000 (AiR/ONX Residencies)
- Travel coverage up to €500 (Europe) and €1,000 (overseas)

Who can apply:

- Artists and practitioners across visual arts, performance, film, sound, writing, curating, applied arts, design, fashion, sculpture, and hybrid practices
- Professionals interested in research, production, or technical development residencies

3. European Media Art Platform (EMAP) | Residencies 2026

Sector: Digital Arts, Media Art, AI & Robotics, Bio Art
Deadline: March 13, 2026 (14:00 CET)


The European Media Art Platform (EMAP), subject to final approval by the Creative Europe programme, invites artists working in digital, media, robotic, AI, and bio art to apply for a two-month production residency in 2026. The programme supports collaborative artistic practices across Europe.

Applicants must apply as a duo or collective, or propose a clearly defined collaboration with a partner or with a local collaborator at one of the host institutions. Residencies take place across a wide network of leading European media art organisations.

Support provided:

- Two-month production residency at one EMAP host organisation
- Invitation to the EMAP Kick-off Conference in Braga (May 8–9, 2026)
- €4,000 grant for the main applying artist (including subsistence)
- €2,000 grant for collaborating artist(s) or €6,000 total for artist duos
- €4,000 project budget

Who can apply:

- Artists, duos, and collectives working in digital, technological, and science-based art practices
- EU residents or taxpayers in an EU Member State or eligible non-EU countries
- PhD candidates and emerging artists of any age and academic background
- Undergraduate and master’s students are not eligible

4. Tracks4Crafts | Accelerator4Crafts Residencies Open Call

Sector: Crafts, Design, Creative Entrepreneurship, Cultural Heritage
Deadline: March 13, 2026


Tracks4Crafts launches the Accelerator4Crafts Residency, supporting craftspeople and creative entrepreneurs in rethinking traditional knowledge within a contemporary context. The programme funds two-week international placements designed to foster experimentation, skills exchange, and cross-border collaboration.

As part of a European initiative connecting 15 partners, the residency encourages participants to explore the intersection of heritage, new technologies, sustainable materials, and alternative production methods across host sites in several European countries.

Support provided:

- Up to €1,900 covering travel and accommodation
- Two-week international placement in Iceland, Romania, Greece, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, or Switzerland

Who can apply:

- Craftspeople and makers
- Creative entrepreneurs working with heritage and material-based practices
- Applicants from eligible Creative Europe countries

5. Culture Helps Solidarity | Collaboration Grants 2026

Sector: Arts & Culture, Social Inclusion, International Cooperation
Deadline: March 31, 2026


Culture Helps Solidarity launches its first 2026 call for Collaboration Grants, supporting cultural partnerships that work with internally displaced people (IDPs) and refugees from Ukraine. The programme runs until 2028 and combines funding with mentoring, learning, and peer exchange opportunities.

Support provided:

- Up to €20,000 for partnerships of two organisations
- Up to €30,000 for partnerships of three or more organisations
- Participation in a broader mentoring and exchange framework

Who can apply:

- Partnerships between at least one Ukrainian organisation and one organisation based in a Creative Europe country
- Ukrainian-led organisations operating in Ukraine or abroad
- Cultural organisations working on inclusion, integration, and community support
- Applicants meeting the full eligibility criteria outlined in the official call document

6. Creative Europe | Call for Proposals – Cross-border Media Literacy

Sector: Media Literacy, Digital Culture, Education, Cross-sector Cooperation
Deadline: March 11, 2026


The Creative Europe Programme has launched a €3 million call under its cross-sectoral strand to support innovative cross-border media literacy projects. The initiative responds to the evolving digital media landscape and aims to strengthen societal resilience against disinformation and information manipulation.

Projects should develop and test new approaches, tools, or methods (online or offline) to enhance critical thinking, informed participation, and active citizenship across different population groups in Europe.

Support provided:

- Total available budget: €3,000,000
- Up to €500,000 per project

Who can apply:

- Consortia of at least three entities from three different Creative Europe countries
- Public or private organisations (profit or non-profit)
- Public authorities, universities, media organisations, research institutions, technology providers, and international organisations

7. Torino Film Lab | TFL Co-Production Fund 2026

Sector: Film Production, International Co-production
Deadline: March 4, 2026 (14:00 CET)


The TorinoFilmLab (TFL), organised by the Museo Nazionale del Cinema, launches the 2026 edition of the TFL Co-Production Fund. Three international co-productions in advanced development will each receive a €50,000 production grant, alongside tailor-made consultancies to support the final preparation phase before shooting.

Selected teams will also attend the TFL Meeting Event in November 2026 in Torino, a major co-production market gathering over 200 European and international film professionals.

Support provided:

- Three grants of €50,000
- Tailor-made consultancies for selected film teams
- Participation in the TFL Meeting Event 2026

Who can apply:

- Feature-length fiction, creative documentaries, or animation projects (over 60 minutes)
- International co-productions between MEDIA and non-MEDIA countries
- Projects in advanced development, scheduled for completion by October 31, 2028
