About the role
OAcademy is expanding and is seeking a new Academic Lead to spearhead the next chapter of the Orchestra Institute. Working closely with the OAcademy Management and the Academic Team, this new key position will lead the academic aims and standards, as we launch the new Masters degree in 2025.
The Academic Lead will develop and implement an innovative curriculum for the Orchestra Institute to support their mission. This is a role to liaise with global institutions and professionals on the cutting edge, to shape the overall academic direction, ensuring the program remains compelling, innovative, and relevant. Working closely with fellowship directors, the Academic Lead will play a key role in shaping the academic vision across all initiatives, including the Conducting Fellowship, Composing Studio, and Piano Lab. They will identify and prioritize key opportunities to share OAcademy’s mission and forge partnerships. They will cultivate relationships with musicians and industry leaders to engage them in recruitment, curriculum delivery and increase international impact and presence.
