About Meta.Morf
Established in 2010, Meta.Morf has become Scandinavia's leading biennale for art and technology, attracting over 40,000 visitors and featuring 60 artists across 20 partner organizations in its last edition. With its growing international presence, including collaborations in Rotterdam with V2_, Meta.Morf continues to push boundaries in exploring the convergence of art and technological innovation.
The theme for the 2026 biennale focuses on preparing for unknown futures:
What is the artist’s role in preparing us for the unknown futures ahead? In a world where algorithms, predictive models, and speculative technologies dominate our understanding of what’s to come, how can artists provide alternative manuals and manifestations for navigating futures both utopian and dystopian, yet always unpredictable? They seek art installations and performances that act as provocations, tools, maps, or guides to help us confront the unknown and embrace the unexpected.
