Time is almost up for the CCS ecosystem to express demands on the ongoing shaping of the Cultural Compass for Europe.

So far, 190 contributions have been provided in the system, including citizens, public authorities and business companies across different countries.

Commission calls to save the date and give your input here, by 30 May 2025 (Brussels, midnight), using your social media accounts or registering to the platform.

Participants are invited to comment on the strategic aims of the Culture Compass, on enhancing the visibility, consistency and funding of culture in EU policy, including in the external dimension.

As explained in the call for evidence, current challenges for the CCS are set under discussion, including artistic freedom, working conditions, lack of data, the AI balance, the digital and the green shift and culture’s potential towards EU’s innovation and competitiveness.

To get their voice heard, interested parties need to ensure adherence to Commission’s feedback rules

All inputs to the public consultation are to be published. Participants who wish to remain anonymous need to make sure they don’t include any personal data in their contributions.

Opinions may be expressed in any of the 24 official EU languages and within 4000 characters.

Contributors who wish to support their ideas with research or other documents, may attach relevant files no more than 5 MB.
