The European Commission is running a public consultation on EU funding for cross-border education, training and solidarity, young people, media, culture and creative sectors, values and civil society. The consultation period runs until the 6 May 2025 (closing at midnight Brussels time) and is part of the wider consultation on the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF).

Following President von der Leyen's Political Guidelines for the 2024-2029 European Commission, the public consultation aims to develop a more streamlined, focused and responsive budget that accurately reflects European strategic priorities.
To achieve this objective, the Commission holds seven public consultations to gather views from interested parties on the optimization of the EU budget. These consultations will cover various policy areas with the goal of creating a more effective and efficient budget that successfully delivers on key strategic objectives. To date, 3594 citizens from around the world have responded to the call. The Commission plans to present its proposals in 2025, with this consultation serving as a critical input mechanism for stakeholders to provide their insights and recommendations.
Consultation Details
Participants can contribute by completing an online questionnaire, which is available in multiple official EU languages. Respondents may submit their responses in any official EU language. Organizations and businesses are requested to register in the EU transparency register to ensure transparency.
