Join a spectacular evening as Ars Electronica 2024 opens with a tribute to Anton Bruckner on what would have been his 200th birthday. This year's opening event promises a fusion of classical music, cutting-edge technology, and avant-garde experimentation, set within the majestic St. Mary’s Cathedral in Linz.

What to Expect:

8:00 PM: The evening kicks off with the organ concert "BruQner – The Sound of Entanglement," where entangled photons "conduct" Anton Bruckner’s “Perger Präludium” through an experimental set-up featuring lasers, mirrors, and non-linear crystals.

11:00 PM: The chamber musicians of the Bruckner Orchestra Linz take the stage to perform Bruckner’s Symphony No. 7 in an ensemble arrangement, offering a unique interpretation of this classic work.

11:30 PM: The 12-piece ensemble “NoFive” presents "Bruckner x Pop x No Wave," a bold fusion of Bruckner’s Fifth Symphony with the White Stripes' iconic “Seven Nation Army,” creating a soundscape that bridges high culture and pop.
