About the Conference

This year's conference, titled "Thrive Theatre Thrive! Keep the Flame Alive," aims to provide actionable insights and strategies for maintaining vibrant theatre ecosystems across Europe. Amid cultural funding cuts, hybrid work models, and the rise of authoritarianism, the conference will explore how theatres can champion democracy, artistic freedom, and creative sustainability.

Key questions to be addressed include:

- How can theatres support democratic and humanistic values in 2025?
- What role can artistic programming play in combating disinformation?
- What leadership models and working conditions will sustain theatres?
- How can theatres deepen their relationships with diverse and intergenerational audiences?
- How can theatres thrive as accessible, well-being-centred organisations?
