About the event:

"AFTER THE WORLD: The Theatre of Tomorrow" is an international conference that explores the evolving landscape of theatre in a post-pandemic world, with a strong emphasis on digital theatre and sustainable practices. Hosted by Théâtre de Liège in conjunction with IMPACT Festival, this conference offers attendees a platform to engage with thought leaders, artists, and innovators from across Europe and beyond.

Conference Highlights:

- Panel Discussions: Exploring the intersection of digital innovation and sustainable practices in theatre.
- Launch of ETC's New Programme: Introduction to ETC - EUROPEAN THEATRE: BREAK THE MOULD, a four-year initiative focusing on digital theatre, sustainability, diversity, and collaboration within European theatre.
- Artistic Showcase: Experience exhibitions, dance, theatre, and performances from internationally acclaimed artists, including the work of Kwon Byungjun and Eun-Me Ahn, as well as presentations by Kyu Choi.
- European Theatre Talks: Engage with policy representatives and artists in high-profile discussions on the future of theatre in Europe.
- IMPACT Festival Integration: Attendees will also be part of the Théâtre de Liège’s IMPACT Festival, with a focus on new technologies and performances from South Korea.

About the European Theatre Convention (ETC)

The European Theatre Convention (ETC) is the largest network of publicly-funded theatres in Europe, representing 63 member theatres across 31 countries. Founded in 1988, ETC champions European theatre as a crucial platform for dialogue, democracy, and cultural interaction, reflecting the diverse societies and audiences of today. Through its wide range of activities—including artistic collaborations, professional development, and theatre advocacy—ETC supports the creation of innovative theatre, the development of theatre professionals, and the strengthening of the European theatre sector within a political context.

Applications must be submitted by the 25th of September, 2024 (ETC Members and invited guests only). Participants are encouraged to explore the conference program and register early, as spaces are limited.
