Creative Europe unveils 2024 funding winners, supporting 160 cultural projects across sectors, with €59.7 million allocated to boost creativity, innovation, and emerging talent throughout Europe and across five key initiatives: Cooperation Projects, Circulation of Literary Works, European Networks, Pan-European Cultural Entities, and Platforms for Emerging Artists.
By Creatives Unite CommunityCreative Europe's 2024 funding programme has awarded grants to 160 cooperation projects totaling €59.7 million, with 22 projects directly involving Ukrainian partners. The programme supported 39 European cultural networks, launched five Pan-European cultural entities to nurture young talent, and established 18 platforms to promote over 8,500 emerging artists. These platforms are particularly focused on fairness, inclusiveness, and diversity, tackling gender gaps and offering equal opportunities, while all selected projects demonstrate a commitment to environmental sustainability.
Creative Europe has allocated substantial funding to support projects across cultural and creative sectors. Highlights include initiatives in performing arts, literary translation, and sustainability, with a strong focus on inclusivity and support for Ukrainian culture.

1) Cooperation projects
160 projects were invited to the grant agreement phase. The total budget of the call is €59 730 025.
The projects receiving support cover all cultural and creative sectors, including:
- the performing arts sector
- art in public spaces
- digital arts
- cultural heritage
- books and publishing
A growing number of projects deal with themes of mental health and people with various disabilities, using diverse methodologies. 2) Circulation of literary works
42 proposals were recommended for funding with coordinators coming from 20 Creative Europe countries. A quarter of them are newcomers to the programme. The budget of this call is €5 million. Through this call 530 books from 455 writers have been selected for translation and 525 translators will be working on translating these books from 37 languages into 29 target languages.
Among the winning proposals are four led by Ukrainian publishers, and one proposal with a Ukrainian partner, contributing to the translation of 51 Ukrainian literary works into 13 European languages. 3) European networks of cultural and creative organisations
39 projects that enhance the capacity of European cultural and creative sectors to nurture talents, to face common challenges, to innovate, to prosper and to generate jobs and growth have been selected for funding.
The selected projects cater for a combined direct membership of over 5 000 organisations, covering all Creative Europe countries and beyond. The total budget of the action is €44 323 000. Learn more about European networks of cultural and creative organizations.

4) Pan-European cultural entities
This new action of the Creative Europe programme aims to support cultural entities – such as orchestras – with a large geographical reach, whose aim is to offer training, professionalization and performance opportunities for young, highly talented artists.
Five projects involving cultural organisations from Austria, Germany, North Macedonia, Portugal, and Spain have been selected for support, with a total budget of €10,86 million. 5) European platforms for the promotion of emerging artists
18 platforms will implement projects to increase the visibility and circulation of more than 8 500 emerging European artists and their work, to develop their careers and talent. The total budget of the action is €49,5 million. Fairness, inclusiveness, and diversity are at the heart of selected proposals, tackling particularly gender gap and equal opportunities. All the selected projects are committed to environmental sustainability.
The platforms provide tailor-made responses to the needs and challenges of emerging talents, offering them targeted professional opportunities in terms of mobility, training, incubation, and development, as well as remuneration.
