Commission calls for your input on the EU Artists Charter

Ahead of the upcoming High-Level EU Roundtable on Artists’ Working Conditions (8 December), EVP Roxana Minzatu & Commissioner Glenn Micallef are gathering real experiences directly from artists and cultural professionals in Europe. Have your voice heard by 7 December.

Artists and professionals in the cultural and creative sectors have the opportunity until the 7th of December to share their experience and help shape the EU Artist Charter

The upcoming Charter is one of the key actions of the Culture Compass for Europe. It aims at strengthening political commitment towards achieving fair working conditions for artists and CCS professionals. 

Roxana Minzatu, Executive Vice-President for Social Rights and Skills, Quality Jobs and Preparedness - European Commission and Glenn Micallef, Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport have announced the call for inputs in their social media channels and ask for responses on the following questions.

- What is your experience working in the arts today?

- What must change for a fairer, more sustainable career?

Interested contributors are invited to share thoughts in the comments or send a DM by Sunday the 7th of December.

On the 8th of December Commissioner Micallef, EU officials and representatives from the civil society of the cultural and creative sectors will meet at the High-Level EU Roundtable on Artists’ Working Conditions.
