PRS Emergency Relief Fund

The Emergency Relief Fund is a new initiative bringing together PRS and PRS Members Fund, with support from PRS Foundation. The ERF provides financial support to PRS writer members experiencing extreme hardship as a result of the measures to tackle COVID-19.

Within the first few days of the government announcing the closure of businesses, PRS launched its Emergency Relief Fund, intended to support its members suffering immediate hardship. The Fund, which was a partnership with the two charitable sister organisations, the PRS Members’ Fund and the PRS Foundation, was designed to offer an immediate relief via a grant of up to £1,000 to our songwriter and composer members who were struggling to pay for the basics, food and rent.

Due to its success, a second phase of the Fund will be launched which will run until the 15th May and is expected to make further grants in excess of £1 million. Applications will re-open on Monday 4 May and will close on Friday 15 May.
