Music & COVID-19 | Online Survey

This transnational project aims to understand how the creative and working lives of people in the music industry have been impacted by the pandemic.

This questionnaire is part of the study “Until COVID-19 do us apart: Music Scenes in Lockdown”, which aims to understand how the creative and working lives of people in the music industry have been impacted by the pandemic. It is conducted primarily in Portugal, the Netherlands and Germany, welcoming feedback from individuals based in other European countries too. It is translated into English, Portuguese, German and Dutch.

The analysis and conclusions resulting from this survey will serve as a basis of a report and a handbook of recommendations to be shared with relevant institutions and individuals (e.g. cultural institutions, policy makers, etc.), so they can be made aware of how Covid 19 has affected the music sector, and respond accordingly.

The project is currently asking for the contributions of people involved in music-making and promotion, including those with full, part, and sporadic employment as musicians, singers, DJs, educators, teachers, managers, promoters, venue owners, sound technicians, journalists, critics, and bloggers.

You can find more information here and here, and fill out the survey here!
