In Touch: Online Exhibition

For Being Human 2020 the University of Glasgow is hosting a special online exhibition, co-developed and curated with the charity Deafblind Scotland, that responds creatively to the theme of touch post-COVID19.

What can be learnt from the heightened awareness of (and restrictions surrounding) touch which characterised our experience of the COVID-19 pandemic? Might the experiences of Deafblind communities, and those who rely on their sense of touch to navigate the world, aid a shared understanding of this new normal? Through this innovative platform and collaboration, it aims to explore how different experiences of touch might reshape audio-visual art practices relating to senses and further inform the development of communication tools and strategies.
