At the University of Göttingen, Germany, we are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for Asian and multicultural artists to showcase their talents and delve into the captivating realm where art and technology converge. The ever-evolving landscape of technology has undeniably influenced the art world, revolutionizing creative expression and pushing boundaries in unimaginable ways. As the world continues to witness rapid technological progress, we seek both collectives and solo artists who are intrigued by the potential synergy between art and technology.

Whether you are an actor, a dancer, a musician, or a multidisciplinary artist, we encourage you to submit your proposal to be a part of this stimulating exploration. With this call, we aim to highlight the symbiotic relationship between art and technology, exploring how technological advancements have transformed the creative process, aesthetics, and audience engagement. From digital art and interactive installations to virtual reality experiences and algorithmic creations, we encourage artists to explore the vast possibilities that arise when art and technology intertwine.

In 2024, we are pleased to offer an estimated artistic fee of 400 Euros per artistic contribution. Please note that we are unable to cover production costs or expenses related to rehearsals. However, we are open to discussing transportation support for props on a case-by-case basis. Limited financial assistance, including two overnight stays, may be available for a select number of individuals to support their travel. It is important to acknowledge that these provisions are limited and will be allocated based on specific criteria.

In addition to physical presentations, our festival is expanding its reach through an online platform. This virtual space showcases curated videos and exhibitions, providing an unforgettable experience for those unable to attend in person. We are dedicated to supporting artists and are offering an estimated artistic fee of 200 Euros per online project. Join us in harnessing the transformative power of technology to unite people and create meaningful experiences.

The Journal of Ying Ming Theater’s editorial team serves as the organizer and assumes the role of implementing the program, including specific planning, organization, coordination, arrangement, and execution. Partnering with them as the academic collaborator is the Center of Modern East Asian Studies (CnMEAS), contributing their expertise and insights to enrich the event’s academic aspects. Additionally, the art season receives generous sponsorship from the Academic Confucius Institute in Göttingen (AKI), further supporting the realization of this cultural celebration. Their support enables the event to thrive and reach a broader audience, fostering a deeper appreciation for contemporary Asian performing arts and performance art in the region.
