Poor Things is a dark and twisted comedy that explores themes of love, loss, and identity. The film has been praised for its originality, its visual beauty, and its performances.

The film is set in the 19th century and follows the story of Bella Baxter (Stone), a young woman who is murdered by her husband, Dr. Godwin (Willem Dafoe). However, Dr. Godwin is not content to let Bella die, and he uses his scientific knowledge to bring her back to life.

The resurrected Bella is a different person than she was before her death. She is now stronger, more independent, and more sexually assertive. However, she is also haunted by the memories of her murder, and she struggles to come to terms with her new life.
