As part of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and in collaboration with EventChange, take part in an afternoon of case studies and a round table discussion on the issue of eco-conditionality at European level.

Eco-conditionality in the cultural sector is defined as a mechanism that links public funding of cultural structures and venues to respect for the environment. Today, eco-conditions are seen as a key issue in the transition. But how can they be implemented fairly and consistently? How can we overcome the difficulty of having incentive criteria that are fair and applicable to the diversity of the cultural landscape? And, to what extent, isn't the term eco-socio-conditionality more relevant to the sector?

The aim of this European meeting is to present concrete case studies (FR, UK, GE, IT) on the European territory, to examine evaluation indicators and criteria, and to understand the role of European cultural federations in these issues.
