About Sub_Bar
For the past four years, Sub_Bar has developed a new musical language for the sense of touch, pioneering vibrational music that is fully inclusive for Deaf and hearing audiences alike. The project has been showcased at festivals such as ADE in Amsterdam, as well as in museums, art centers, and clubs. In April 2025, Sub_Bar is launching "The Sub_Bar Show", a 90-minute audiovisual experience that transforms sub-bass frequencies into a deep, bodily musical journey.
With a growing exclusive catalog of compositions by 50+ leading sound artists and composers, including Byetone, Efdemin, Felicity Mangan, Reboot, Roberto Musci, Petre Inspirescu, and Perc, the show delivers an unparalleled sensory experience. Sub_Bar earned a Social Innovation Award nomination, and this April, the project aims to be presented in nearly 30 cities worldwide - LA, Sao Paolo, Berlin, Paris, Madrid, Beirut, New Dehli, Sydney - , across venues, cinemas, art centers, and clubs.
The Call: Thessaloniki Venue Needed
Sub_Bar is offering a premiere opportunity to one venue in Thessaloniki for April 2025. This is a plug-and-play format, similar to screening a film, requiring only:
- 18” subwoofers (or similar)
- A projector
- A suitable space for immersive sound experiences
