About S+T+ARTS Buen-TEK Residencies
S+T+ARTS Buen-TEK supports artists in developing projects that merge traditional technologies, environmental sustainability, and community-driven design. Each artist will be paired with a host institution (Twin) in one of the participating countries and supported by European mediators, local experts, and mentors. The residency runs from September 2025 to February 2026, with artists required to spend at least 4 weeks on-site.
What to Expect
Selected artists will participate in a 5-month residency that includes:
- A €20,000 grant covering artist fees, production, travel, accommodation, and documentation
- At least 4 weeks accommodation at the host institution
- Expert mentorship and guidance from local and European professionals
- Access to scientific and technological tools and networks
- Participation in learning programmes, workshops, and showcases
- International visibility through S+T+ARTS platforms and exhibitions
Who can apply?
S+T+ARTS Buen-TEK is calling for artists or representatives of artistic companies, collectives or associations from one of the following eligible countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Surinam and Uruguay.
S+T+ARTS Buen-TEK calls for proposals from:
- nationals or permanent residents in any eligible country (natural person).
- artistic company, collective or association based in any eligible country.
- teams mixing artists from Europe and from any eligible country. At least 50% of the members of the collective must be from the eligible countries. The artist that applies on behalf of the group must be from the eligible country and will also receive the funds.
