What Is This About?
This open call is part of the EU’s “Culture and Democracy Study and Peer Learning” project, exploring how schools and cultural actors can collaborate to promote civic engagement, democratic attitudes, and critical citizenship education among young people.
Contributions will support the development of a Compendium of Good Practice Examples, to be published by the European Commission and shared with policymakers and practitioners across Europe and globally.
What is the EU Commission looking for?

- Were implemented in primary (age 10+) or secondary schools (ISCED 1–3), including general and vocational education
- Took place in formal, non-formal or informal learning settings
- Used participatory cultural/artistic activities to support pupils’ engagement in civic and democratic life
- You can submit more than one example by completing the survey multiple times.
