October 11-13 | MISS READ: Berlin Art Book Festival, Berlin, Germany
Starting today, MISS READ brings together publishers, artists, and readers from all over the world. Held in the heart of Berlin, this festival celebrates the intersection of art and publishing, offering a platform for independent publishers to showcase their work. In addition to a wide array of books, visitors can enjoy panel discussions, readings, and performances, making it a must-visit for anyone passionate about contemporary art and print culture. You can find a myriad of publications from unique international publishers.

MISS READ's core philosophy of Decolonizing Art Book Fairs is the result of several years of collective effort. Together with curator Anguezomo Nzé Mba Bikoro and co-director Pascale Obolo, the festival now highlights Afro-feminist and Queer voices, uncovering genealogies from lesser-known aspects of German history. It explores diverse movements through music, literature, and film, connecting with the legacies of Black cultural and queer activism from the past 70 years. The festival offers a platform for examining Afro-feminist legacies through panel discussions, music performances, film screenings, and workshops, featuring contributions from Mame-Fatou Niang, Natasha A. Kelly, Peggy Piesche, Ndeye Fatou Kane, String Archestra, Marianne Ballé Moudoumbou, Yezenia León Mezu, Jennifer Kamau, Savanna Morgan, House of Living Colours, Maimouna Coulibaly, Stefanie-Lahya Aukongo, Chantal-Fleur Sandjon, Mmakhotso Lamola, Mihret Kebede, Aline Benecke, FrauHerr Meko, DJ Njeri, and many others.
