Oulu2026, Finland live-streams on the 4th of September 2025 the presentation of its full programme for the European Capital of Culture. Themed “Cultural Climate Change”, Oulu2026 promises a creative blend of culture, nature, technology, food and European cooperation.
By Creatives Unite NewsroomIn about four months Oulou2026 including 40 municipalities in Northern Finland will begin celebrations for the European Capital of Culture (ECoC).
“Cultural Climate Change” is the theme of the programme with the mission “to bring people together through culture, to create an environment that sparks unusual and creative ideas and creates positive development to Northern Finland”.
ECoC enthusiasts may attend online the release of ECoCs programme which is expected to be a rich mix of diverse events, as the organisers had invited all interested cultural creators to be "brave” and shape applications of “wildest ideas – whether it’s a yarn bombing, comics, street dance event, custom cars, perpetual motion machines, art workshop or anything else”.
The announcement of the programme will be in English and subtitled in Finnish later.
