Young journalists, media activists, bloggers, and podcasters across the EU are invited to apply for an exclusive opportunity to participate in workshops and networking activities focused on fostering inclusivity in European media. About the Media for Inclusivity and Diversity Workshops:

This initiative is designed to bring together young journalists and media professionals from across the European Union to discuss and address issues of bias and inclusivity in media. Over the course of two days, participants will engage in a series of workshops and discussions led by experts from the Jan Nowak-Jeziorański College of Eastern Europe and New Eastern Europe editors. The program will cover topics such as media bias, strategies for collaboration, combatting hate speech, and online security.

Application Details:

Applications must be submitted by September 20, 2024. Selected participants will have the opportunity to join a vibrant community of media professionals and gain insights into creating more inclusive media environments. The program is particularly interested in participants who have experience covering issues related to minority communities, including ethnic, gender/LGBTQ+, and disability.

Who is eligible to apply?

This program is open to young journalists, media activists, bloggers, and podcasters aged 22-35 who are based in the European Union. Ideal candidates should have a background in journalism or media, whether as freelancers, editors, or content creators, and have a demonstrated interest in promoting diversity and inclusivity within their work.

Eligibility Criteria:

- Aged 22-35 and based in the European Union.
- Actively working in the media sphere, including journalism, blogging, podcasting, or media activism.
- Experience or interest in covering issues related to minority communities is highly desirable.

Cost Coverage:
The organizers will cover travel expenses up to 250 euros, along with accommodation and food during the workshop.
