Laçzos Artísticos 2025–2026: Grants for Cross-Border Artistic Projects

Laçzos Artísticos is a cross-continental mobility grant programme for individual artists in the Ibero-American and Portuguese-speaking world. Funded by the Organisation of Ibero-American States (OEI) and DGARTES Portugal, this programme supports 11 international artistic residencies or exchanges between Latin America, Lusophone Africa, Iberia, and Timor-Leste.

About the Programme

Laçzos Artísticos offers 11 mobility grants of €2,250 each, aimed at fostering artistic exchange, cultural dialogue, and professional growth between artists from Ibero-American and Portuguese-speaking countries.

The programme encourages creative exploration across national and cultural boundaries, offering artists the chance to collaborate, train, or develop new work outside their country of residence in one of the eligible partner countries.

Projects must occur between 1 November 2025 and 31 October 2026 and may span any of the supported disciplines listed below.

Eligible Artistic Disciplines

You can apply if your project is in one of the following fields:

- Visual Arts: architecture, painting, sculpture, photography, new media, design
- Performing Arts: music, theatre, dance, opera, circus
- Street Arts: public performance, interventions, muralism, etc.
- Interdisciplinary Arts: hybrid or cross-media approaches

Eligibility Criteria

You are eligible to apply if:

- You are an individual artist (not an organisation or collective).
- You are a citizen or resident of a country that is a member of the Organisation of Ibero-American States (OEI) and/or the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP).
- Your project is not based in your country of residence.
- Your activity takes place between 1 November 2025 and 31 October 2026.

What does the grant cover?

Each of the 11 selected artists will receive:

€2,250 total, which must cover:
- International airfare
- Medical and travel insurance
- Project-related materials 

There is no expectation of final public output, though grantees are encouraged to document and share their experiences where possible.
