How do we implement climate justice responses in our cultural organisations and practices?

November 23, 2021

Thursday December 9, 2021, 15:00 - 16:30

Climate justice is about the intersection between human rights, social justice and the climate and environmental movement. It is recognising climate change as a systemic issue, which is not only environmental or scientific but also ethical and political.

But how do we implement climate justice responses in our cultural organisations and practices? How can we build climate justice principles into our programming, outreach and audience engagement? What has climate justice got to do with cultural organisations, and who can we learn from?

To celebrate the imminent launch of Julie’s Bicycle’s Creative Climate Justice Hub, JB invites you to join them to explore practical examples and cultural case studies, from those who are aiming to put climate justice front and centre of their work and organisations. For this event, as part of the Arts Council England Environmental Sustainability Programme, they’re coming together with the Creative Green community to hear from creative leaders who’ll share expertise and practical tips for putting climate justice into action.
