The i-Portunus high-level event will be held on 9th December 2021, from 14:00 to 16:30 CET.
i-Portunus is a scheme co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Commission that supports the mobility of artists, creators and cultural professionals in Europe. The scheme is implemented by consortia of cultural organisations. The Goethe-Institut together with the Institut français and Izolyatsia are supporting short-term mobilities for individuals artists and cultural professionals.
In line with the European Commission's objective to set up the mobility scheme as a permanent action with the Creative Europe programme and based on the experience of i-Portunus so far, this event seeks to provide inspiration for shaping a sustainable mobility scheme for artists and cultural professionals in Europe, that is open and accessible to all while taking into consideration environmental concerns and the impact of climate change. Guest speakers and panellists will share their views and experience around crucial topics closely related to mobility and how mobility should be shaped in today’s context of digital transformation and climate change.
For this event, Commissioner Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth will hold a keynote speech, followed by Mr Johannes Ebert, Secretary General of the Goethe-Institut. The discussions will continue with two panel discussions with experts from the cultural and creative sectors.
