The EU-funded European Heritage Hub aims to empower heritage stakeholders from candidate and neighbouring countries of the European Union to become active protagonists of the wider European heritage movement, thereby enhancing the ever-closer relationship between these countries and the European Union. As part of this mission, the Hub is launching the second edition of its Small Grants Scheme, with support from the ALIPH Foundation.
Civil society from 11 neighbouring countries of the European Union (Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo*, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Ukraine) are eligible to apply.
Objectives of the call:
- Building the capacity of civil society;
- Enhancing the key role of cultural heritage for the triple transformation (green, digital and social);
- Strengthening democracy, the rule of law and other fundamental rights and values;
- Building peace and stability, through enhancing intercultural and interreligious dialogue and reconciliation.
Regional strands
The Small Grants Scheme is structured around three regional strands, each with tailored priorities. First, the Western Balkans, focusing on reconciliation, regional cooperation and social cohesion. Second, the Caucasus, focusing on heritage protection in fragile and diverse contexts. And third, Ukraine and Moldova, focusing on capacity-building and pilot initiatives supporting emergency response, recovery and resilience of the heritage sector.
Funding
The European Heritage Hub Small Grants Scheme is an agile and flexible funding instrument for allocating small grants to heritage projects led by civil society organisations based in the eligible non-EU countries listed above. It will support initiatives of two sizes.
Grants up to 10,000 EUR
Grants ranging from 10,000 to 25,000 EUR
