About the event

The European Crafts Alliance (ECA) is hosting an online policy forum Beyond the Findings: What’s Next for European Craftsmanship?  on 10 December 2025 at 11.00 CET.

The event will explore the findings of two significant new reports (from the ECA and FOACAL). Both conclude that Europe's 50 billion € craft sector is held back by political invisibility and the lack of a shared EU-wide definition. The forum aims to present the key outcomes of both documents, explore their interconnections, and discuss how their recommendations can inform future initiatives and policy developments at European level. It will feature the lead researchers from both studies, Audrey Aubard and Félix Sanz Sastre.

The event is free, open to all, and highly relevant for craft organisations, cultural networks, researchers, and policymakers. It will be held in Spanish and English with live translated captions.
