On the 9th of May, it is Europe Day, when peace and unity in Europe are celebrated. With hundreds of cultural events across the continent like public debates, exhibitions, festive meetings, and concerts, you can learn about the history and shared values across our continent, and engage with fellow Europeans. Not only in the Brussels bubble but at the local level too, with Europeans of all backgrounds to care, to make a difference.
Let’s make Europe Day a day for all of us, and let’s dedicate it to you! To your energy to make a change for the better, to you who like building futures, not to await them. To you who exchange and strife for a more democratic, inclusive, and culturally aware Europe. To you, because this day is yours.
As an independent, not-for-profit organisation we, the European Cultural Foundation, want to put together this Europe Day festival agenda and an online (streaming) programme.
In the run up to Europe Day, the European Cultural Foundation, published an as complete as possible agenda with Europe Day events across our continent.
On May 9 this website will be the home for an online streaming festival starting at 11:00 CEST. Running till the evening hours you can enjoy real time coverage of various Europe Day events and view original content as well as a special selection of documentary films. The programme will feature, amongst others, the launch of the European Sentiment Compass, the launch of the Pop the Vote campaign, the Euro Jam, a performance by Lviv Orchestra, with much more coming.
