European Dancehouse Network and Tanec Praha invite you to an Encounter in support of the Ukrainian Dance Community. Guest speakers will include EDN members, the international organisation Artists at Risk and the Ukrainian Emergency Performing Arts Fund who will share their experiences in supporting the Ukrainian artistic community as well as artists from Ukraine.
EDN members Tanec Praha, CSC Bassano del Grappa and AREAL are actively engaged in helping in helping people who fled abroad as a direct consequence of the war in Ukraine by seeking and providing housing, supporting artists refugees by engaging them in their local and international contexts, and seeking funding opportunities. Artists at Risk has been at the forefront of supporting Ukrainian artists since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, engaging the international cultural community while the Ukrainian Emergency Performing Arts Fund has been working on supporting Ukrainian artists that are staying in Ukraine.
The event will take place within the Czech Dance Platform, April 24-26, 2022, in Prague, hosted by Tanec Praha. In addition to the live gathering, the event will be live-streamed on April 25, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. (CET, Prague time). The event is open to EDN members and others.
