Discovery Campus 2026 Opens International Call for Film Industry Talents

Discovery Campus, the international talent development programme of Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event and the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, has opened applications for several of its specialised training strands. The programme offers hands-on workshops, masterclasses, networking opportunities, and professional exchange across multiple areas of the film industry.

About the Programme

Discovery Campus is the international educational programme of Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event, taking place during the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. The initiative brings together emerging talent and established film professionals from around the world through workshops, masterclasses, mentoring activities, and networking events.

The programme aims to foster professional growth, international collaboration, and knowledge exchange across different fields of the audiovisual sector. In 2026, approximately 65 emerging professionals will be selected to participate.

Discovery Campus forms part of the wider Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event programme, which celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2026 and takes place in Tallinn, Estonia, from 9–20 November 2026.

Currently, Discovery Campus calls for submissions in four of its strands:

Black Room focusing on the art department and production design
Music Meets Film, dedicated to film music,
Frame Within a Frame for cinematographers;
Script Pool competition, showcasing five international projects and their teams

Open Calls

Black Room  focuses on production design in film. The sessions will take place on 16th-20th November 2026. The four days of workshop will be divided into topics like production design and art directing, collaborations within the art department, and tools to expand your artistic toolkit.

Frame Within a Frame programme invites participants to join for an intensive workshop taking place in Tallinn, Estonia, from 16-20 November 2026, as part of the Discovery Campus of Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event that is followed by a session at the renowned Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland, 22-28 November 2026.

The masterclass session of the programme goes beyond theoretical discussions, offering invaluable hands-on experience with the latest and most innovative technologies shaping the future of cinematography. Music Meets Film brings together composers and directors; from music and sound creatives to producers, agents, and the wider music and film industry. It aims to build bridges between creatives, grow as an interdisciplinary meeting place, and encourage new international collaborations between students and professionals. Read further

Script Pool 
established in 2017, is part of Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event film market activities and Discovery Campus educational program. Each year it highlights five international projects and the team behind them—director, scriptwriter, and producer. The aim is to gather film projects with international potential, high distribution value, a final draft in place, and some financing secured.

The call for Script Pool competition, showcasing five international projects and their teams (director-scriptwriter, and producer) is open until 30 June 2026.
