Zalando and VORN launch the fourth edition of NOVA Design Academy a free hybrid programme for fashion designers across Europe working with material innovation and circularity. From April 7 to May 12, 2025, designers are invited to apply for this opportunity to co-create the future of fashion and present their work during Berlin Fashion Week 2026.

About Design Academy NOVA

The Design Academy NOVA offers designers access to rare, innovative, and sustainable materials, ranging from bio-based and cellulose-based to recycled and advanced technological textiles. It combines remote learning, mentorship, and an in-person design sprint residency in Berlin, culminating in a public showcase during Berlin Fashion Week 2026.

The programme is designed to push creative boundaries and foster industry-wide transformation by combining creativity, sustainability, and material science. Participants will join a pan-European community of peers, mentors, and potential collaborators.

Eligibility

- Open to freelance designers and designers from brands based in Europe
-  Applications accepted between April 7 and May 12, 2025
- Designers must be prepared to participate remotely and partially in-person
- All sessions and training conducted in English
