About the DC25 Dancecult Conference:
The DC25 Dancecult Conference aims to bring together leading voices from diverse disciplines to address the challenges and opportunities in preserving the rich heritage of electronic music and dance cultures. Participants will engage in discussions on innovative methodologies, case studies, and collaborations essential for archiving these vibrant cultural forms. The conference will include live presentations and will also be live-streamed.

Submissions must be sent by
September 15, 2024. Accepted applicants will have the opportunity to present their research, participate in panel discussions, and engage with experts from around the world. The conference is particularly seeking contributions that explore novel approaches to the documentation, preservation, and dissemination of EMDCs.
Who is eligible to apply?
The DC25 Dancecult Conference is seeking contributions from individuals with diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to ethnographers, archivists, sociologists, historians, musicologists, and practitioners within the electronic music scene. Ideal candidates are those who are passionate about the cultural significance of EMDCs and have an interest in the preservation of these cultures.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Individuals with research or practical experience in the field of electronic music and dance cultures.
- Ability to present and participate in discussions at the conference in Berlin on 24–25 January 2025.
- Willingness to contribute to the broader discourse on the preservation and archiving of EMDCs.
