Culture Action Europe (CAE), Europa Nostra, and the European Cultural Foundation (ECF), in collaboration with the Centre for Fine Arts Brussels – Bozar, invite you to join the upcoming Annual Policy Conversation as part of the Cultural Deal for Europe initiative. This year’s event will mark the first gathering of the new European Parliament term.
Why is it crucial to prioritise culture during this legislative period? How do the arts, culture, and cultural heritage shape Europe’s future?
Europe is currently facing significant challenges, including war, division, and rising polarisation, which threaten the fabric of our societies. Internal and external pressures are destabilising democratic systems and core values. In response, Europe’s most powerful resource is its culture and heritage, which can serve as a foundation for reimagining and rebuilding its future. This underscores the need for a new strategic framework – a Cultural Deal for Europe.
The Cultural Deal for Europe unites diverse European networks and thousands of citizens who are advocating for the integration of cultural and democratic values into EU policies through stronger investment in the cultural sector.
