Commission announced contracts for two ongoing and two new large-scale projects of Ukrainian and European partners under second special Creative Europe call, aiming at tackling war consequences and fostering heritage preservation and artistic performance, both inside and outside Ukraine.

This is the second Creative Europe special call to support Ukraine's cultural and creative sectors. It follows a first Creative Europe call published in October 2024, with a budget of € 5 million, as part of the Commission's continued efforts to stand with Ukraine. An additional €2 million was announced by the Commission at the Ukrainian Recovery Conference in July 2025, raising this call's support to a total of €7 million.
Here are the four projects receiving Creative Europe funding:
ZMINA Resilience continues an ongoing project supporting Ukrainian artists and cultural organisations co-creating and showcasing their works. It will be coordinated by the Foundation Izolyatsia from Ukraine in partnership with Malý Berlín (Slovakia) and with Trans-Europe Halles (Sweden) as associated partner.
Culture Helps Solidarity aims at fostering Ukrainian’s access to culture and cultural heritage. It is coordinated by the European Cultural Foundation from the Netherlands. The partnership includes two Ukrainian organisations Insha Osvita and Veteranka, and Zusa from Germany.
Cultural Horizons aims at helping Ukrainians to access culture and cultural heritage. It is coordinated by the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation from Ukraine in partnership with Cultural Vistas GmbH from Germany.
UAxEU - UkrAinian cultural eXchange with European Union aims preparing the post-war recovery of Ukraine’s cultural and creative sectors. ‘UAxEU’ is coordinated by the European League of Institutes of the Arts vereniging from the Netherlands. The partnership includes three Ukrainian partners – the Lviv National Academy of the Arts, the Coalition of Culture Actors, the Ukrainian Museum Association. The project will be supported by the State Agency of Ukraine for Arts and Art Education as an associated partner and two EU partners, the HKU University of the Arts Utrecht and Culture Action Europe.
