About the Course:
"A Crash Course in Crafting Biodiversity" is a two-day workshop series taking place in Ljubljana, designed to advance your understanding of urban biodiversity stewardship through innovative practices. Co-led by infrastructure activist Debra Solomon, landscape architect Urška Škerl, and geodesist Alen Mangafić, this program will delve into contemporary land stewardship practices aimed at urban ecosystem defragmentation and development strategies that support all urban species.
Participants will engage in "radical observation" of urban ecosystems, learn about administrative practices shaping urban spaces, and receive training in digital mapping tools. The course focuses on implementing biodiversity-sensitive spatial interventions in urban landscapes. The workshops will be held at the Creative Laboratory Krater and other ecosystems around Ljubljana.
Application Details:
You can register for the full course or individual workshops. Space is limited to 40 participants per workshop, and registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants will be notified of their acceptance by September 8, 2024, at 14:00 CET.
