Call for Nominations: 7 Most Endangered Programme 2025

Europa Nostra invites nominations for endangered cultural heritage sites across Europe for their 7 Most Endangered Programme 2025. The programme aims to identify and mobilize efforts to save threatened heritage sites, with a special focus on those endangered by climate change, affected by crises, or impacted by violations of European core values.

- Europa Nostra's Country Representations, Member and Associate Organisations
- Public and private bodies active in the heritage field in countries where Europa Nostra is not yet represented
- Member organisations of the European Heritage Alliance
- Partners of the European Heritage Hub
- Individual members of Europa Nostra
Funding: The listing of an endangered site serves as a catalyst and incentive for the mobilisation of necessary public or private support, including funding. Listed sites are eligible for an EIB Heritage Grant of €10,000 per site

About the Programme:

The 7 Most Endangered Programme 2025 is seeking nominations for endangered heritage sites across Europe. This year's edition particularly encourages nominations of heritage endangered by climate change, sites in areas affected by conflicts or natural disasters, and those impacted by violations of European core values.

Key Details:
The programme, launched in 2013, aims to save Europe's endangered heritage by raising awareness and mobilizing support. Both tangible and intangible heritage are eligible, regardless of ownership. The programme has already highlighted 63 threatened monuments and heritage sites from 31 countries since its inception. Selected sites benefit from increased visibility and are eligible for financial support to implement preservation activities.

Eligibility criteria for Heritage sites:

- Heritage sites must be located in Europe
- Sites can be tangible or intangible
- Heritage can be publicly or privately owned
- Special consideration for sites endangered by climate change, affected by crises, or impacted by violations of European values
