What is it about:
The EDN Carte Blanche Artist Exchange is a 4-day collective residency held in Copenhagen, Denmark, from November 7-10, 2024. This program invites 20 national and international artists, choreographers, and dance professionals to explore how artistic practice and childcare can mutually influence and reorganize each other. The exchange seeks to challenge conventional norms surrounding artistic labor and childcare, offering a space for professionals and children to engage, think, and move together.

Participants will engage in score writing, dancing, talking, and cooking, aiming to foster new methodologies that accommodate both artistic work and childcare. The event, co-organized by choreographers Andrea Zavala Folache and Adriano Wilfert Jensen, focuses on reimagining the dynamics of childcare within the context of artistic practice.
