About the Artistic Exploration Lab
The Artistic Exploration Lab “Shaping Collective Spaces and Exploring Boundaries” is a participatory research-driven programme for emerging performing artists in the field of arts and health. Hosted by RED NOSES International, this lab offers opportunities to collaborate with international guides and like-minded peers to explore the transformative role of art in promoting well-being.
Participants will engage in artistic research, focusing on their own questions related to health, social, and community boundaries within their artistic practice. Through in-person and online workshops, they will receive mentorship, access training opportunities, and share their insights with a global network.
Programme Highlights
- Online Kick-off Meeting: May 14, 2025 (9:30 – 12:30 CET)
- In-Person Workshop (Vienna): June 26–29, 2025
- Ongoing Online and In-Person Workshops: From July 2025 to January 2026
- Online Reflection Meeting: January 27, 2026
Travel, accommodation, and per diems will be provided for in-person workshops in Vienna. No financial compensation is offered for time invested in meetings or independent work.

How to apply?

- A one-minute video, introducing yourself and sharing what you hope to get out of the lab
- A current copy of your CV in PDF format
The lab guides will evaluate the applications and select an interdisciplinary group of 12 artists with questions and backgrounds that complement each other. All applicants will be notified of the decision by the end of March.
