About the Residency

A dimora is the artist residency program curated by LAMA Impresa Sociale in the Municipality of Londa (FI), nestled in the lush nature and millennial cultural heritage of Montagna Fiorentina. For its third edition, the residency launches an open call seeking 5 artists or artistic collectives to engage with the local context, activate dynamics within the territory, and explore its potential. Each artist or collective is invited to propose a project that interprets, enhances, and interacts with the most pressing issues shaping Londa and its community, with the aim of sharing and strengthening the cultural identities of the area. The open call is open until February 2, 2025, and the residency will take place in June and July 2025.

Objectives

The residency promotes research processes, community interaction, and the creation of shared experiences through artistic practices. It also facilitates access to the natural and cultural heritage as well as the social fabric of the territory, fostering engagement with local professionals, specialists, and experts to enrich dialogue and research.

Each artist is invited to present a project capable of interpreting, enhancing, and interacting with the most pressing matters that affect Londa, its inhabitants, and the territory itself, with the aim of fostering strengthened and shared cultural identities for the location.

During the residency artists will have the possibility to participate in meetings, open studios, and other
activities tailored to the artistic research needs of each artist, promoting the exchange of knowledge, skills, and reflections.

The artistic contest is free of charge and open to artists of any geographical origin who meet the following criteria:
