The European Festivals Association (EFA) calls on arts festivals to join the "Count Me In!" campaign, exploring Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Belonging (DEIAB) in festival practices. Through a survey open until October 31, 2024, and a call for stories, EFA seeks to gather and share insights that can foster a more inclusive future for arts and culture across Europe.

The European Festivals Association (EFA) invites arts festivals across Europe to participate in the "Count Me In!" campaign, designed to explore how festivals are engaging with Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Belonging (DEIAB). With the survey and a call for stories, EFA aims to gather insights on how festivals embrace DEIAB practices, what challenges they face, and what actions they’re taking or envisioning in the near future.

This survey, open until October 31, 2024, is largely multiple-choice and also welcomes festival representatives to share stories, challenges, and successes around DEIAB initiatives through email or a call. By participating, festivals will gain valuable knowledge and share in a collective effort to promote inclusivity within the arts. The findings will be shared at a seminar on November 21, 2024, facilitating peer-to-peer learning among EFA members and the broader festival community.

The EFA acknowledges that festivals play a crucial role in advocating for social justice, environmental sustainability, and community cohesion. Festivals of all sizes are invited to contribute their perspectives, challenges, and progress toward a more inclusive future.
