Mobility funding for Ukrainians to attend key international events in Germany

NUMO is a mobility programme that offers financial support to Ukrainian artists, researchers, and cultural professionals for participation in key international events in Germany. The programme’s primary goal is to enhance Ukraine’s visibility on the European cultural map by engaging Ukrainian professionals in events of strategic importance for the country’s cultural representation.

AMOUNT
The programme provides mobility grants for the participation in the events that take place in Germany (see the list of the eligible formats below), depending on the duration of stay :
1–2 days — up to 500 euros
3–4 days — up to 700 euros
5–10 days — up to 1,000 euros
Residencies from one month — 1,500 euros
* Additional support of up to €500 is available for participants with special needs (e.g. related to health).
Please note: The programme provides financial support only. All logistical arrangements — such as booking travel and accommodation, liaising with event organisers, or obtaining necessary travel documents — are the sole responsibility of the participants.

ELIGIBILITY
The programme is open to Ukrainian:
- artists working in all disciplines (film, visual arts, music, performing arts, literature, etc.);
- cultural researchers and scholars in the fields of history, Ukrainian studies, sociology, political science, and cultural studies;
- cultural managers.
Both individual and group applications are welcome (up to 5 people per group).
Funding is available exclusively for participation in events held in Germany that are of international relevance and carry strategic value for the representation of Ukraine. Eligible events may include:
- international festivals (film, music, theatre, literature, etc.);
- exhibitions and biennials of contemporary art, architecture and design;
- professional conferences and symposia in the field of culture and arts;
- forums and platforms for cultural dialogue;
- international competitions and award ceremonies;
- other internationally recognised cultural events;
- short-term residencies (1-2 months)
