KIKK x CCN | Residency Art, Science & Tech 2026

KIKK galaxy residency supports new media art and art & science projects from international and Belgium- based artists

Since 2017, KIKK collaborates with the CCN / Centre culturel de Namur to run a residency program dedicated to exploring the intersections between arts, sciences, technologies and society.

The aim of this residency is to foster interdisciplinary research, experimentation, and artistic creation through digital and technological media, providing a framework conducive to exploration, prototyping, and dialogue across disciplines.

Proposed projects should fall within the field of arts, sciences & technologies and may explore (non-exhaustive list):

- Generative art and artificial intelligence–based practices
- Sound art
- Biotechnologies, bioart, and connexion with the living world
- Interactive and immersive installations
- Light installations
- Digital fabrication
- Algorithmic, robotic, and kinetic art
- XR projects (VR, AR, MR)
- Video art and photography incorporating digital techniques

AMOUNT

As part of the program, artists will receive:

- Curatorial guidance and support from the KIKK team
- Fully equipped accommodation at CCN (studio 39–47 m²): bathroom, kitchenette, workspace, bedroom, and internet access
- A €5,000 grant to support the development of the project, covering transport to & from the residency, production & materials costs, meals, and other incidental expenses.
- At Trakk, artists will have autonomous access (subject to availability) to various equipment:

ELIGIBILITY

In 2026 edition, the KIKK x CCN residency will host two artists as part of the residency program:

- One international artist
- One artist from the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles (resident in Wallonia or Brussels)
