This two-week residency by The Artist and the Others is aimed at visual artists with parental responsibilities who live in Munich or elsewhere in Europe. It offers a flexible, supportive programme specifically designed to respond to the needs and realities of artist-parents.

This residency—considered the first of its kind in Munich—combines individual mentoring, studio visits, and a public final presentation.

The aim is to give artists the opportunity to develop, deepen, or initiate an artistic or research-based project within two weeks, supported by tailored guidance, conversations, and encounters with cultural professionals.

Selected participants will receive individual and group mentoring from experienced professionals (Sascia Bailer, Heike Dempster & Nir Altman), as well as professional workshops that will support them with revising their portfolio and artist statement and drafting their professional objectives for the upcoming years. .

The programme concludes with a public final presentation at HABIBI Kiosk. In addition, an online presentation and open digital studio will be offered to make the results accessible to a wider, international audience. Duration: 2 weeks, part-time and flexible (First Session 2–17 March 2026 Second session: 18–31 March 2026 )
